Namaste friends!

I hope this email finds you well!

Arriving in sunny California, I feel a sense of relaxed opening in the air following the historical US elections from two days ago. I feel people’s hope for change... and even those who didn’t vote for Barack Obama, I feel are curious about the unknown even though they might feel uncomfortable or afraid. It seems the time has finally come for us to collectively grow into a more conscious and loving people, though this will not happen overnight and without growing pains.

Sitting , at a foot of a hill, in the back yard of my brother's house, I marvel at the desert land covered with cactus bushes, ficus trees, pine and palm trees, and an orange tree full of green oranges. As I breath in the dry dessert air and soak the warmth of the sun, I enjoy my brothers tails of his back yard visitors. He tells me about the deer, bobcat, rabbits, coyotes, gofers, rattlesnakes, tarantula, and various species of birds sharing the land with him and his family. He shows me some photos he took sitting in the place I'm sitting now and I feel I'm not in LA any longer, but close to living and breathing nature in a wilderness.

Birds fly in and out all day chirping and munching on the berries from the ficus tree as we sit chatting…
