| Why would I want to register my child for camp? |
Children are naturally inclined to come to a place of peace when properly guided. If you value the art of introspection and would like to bring more self-awareness, relaxation, calmness, and greater mental clarity and focus into your child’s life this program may be of interest to you.
|
| It will also be of interest to you if: |
| • |
Your child is experiencing anxiety at school, feels restlessness, hyperactive, and motionally challenged, and therefore could benefit from finding his/her inner peace and stillness. |
| |
|
| • |
Your child needs validation and building of self-confidence. |
| |
|
| • |
Your child is creative and imaginative, and needs freedom to express themselves without fear. |

| How old does a child have to be to begin meditating? |
It would depend on the child. By age 4 or 5 many children have the ability to focus for 5 minutes or more on their breathing. Beginning with a technique that is fun, the child can learn to meditate for short periods of time. Please see Active Meditation for Children and Active Meditation for Youth for more details. |
| Do these meditations have any religious affiliation? |
No. Although many religions use meditation as a way in which to connect to the Divine, these meditations are taught as independent from any dogma. Children are encouraged to look inside and learn to trust themselves in making their own choices. |
| Is there a way I can help my child to meditate if a class is unavailable in our area? |
Absolutely. There are several meditation techniques described here that you can practice with together with your children in the comfort of your home. |
| Who funds the Dalian Foundation? |

| Will my donation be publicized? |
| If you choose to be public, we will express gratitude to our sponsors on our website. |
